DIDA (DiIsoDecyl Adipate)
Introduction
Industrialized for third parties.
DIDA is a monomeric plasticizer of medium molecular weight, low viscosity and low volatility and recommended for applications where there are requirements for high mechanical resistance and exceptional flexibility, especially at low temperatures. Furthermore, the compounds of polyvinyl chloride produced with DIDA have excellent elongation characteristics as well as elasticity modules superior even to that of DOA. Apart from DIDA also providing good resistance at high temperatures, it also promotes a dry and soft final product.
In vinyl plastisol applications, especially machine presses, rotational molding of dolls and toys and gaskets, DIDA is successfully used for its low viscosity and for not increasing the rheology of the paste while in storage or during its use. DIDA can also be used in polyvinyl chloride compounds with nitrile rubber in which the plasticizer enters as a major component.
